25+ Years of Excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery

Prof. Masood Umer is an accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research. He is currently serving as a Professor at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, where he has played a pivotal role in developing specialized services in orthopaedic oncology, Ilizarov limb reconstruction, joint replacement, and pelvic trauma surgery.

Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Umer has received numerous awards for his contributions to the field, including the Best Surgeon Award (2018), Outstanding Teacher Award (2015), and multiple international fellowships. His commitment to excellence extends beyond clinical practice to encompass groundbreaking research and the mentorship of the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.

Prof. Umer has established Pakistan's first Orthopaedic Tumor Board and pioneered the Ilizarov limb reconstruction service at AKU. His innovative approach to patient care and dedication to advancing the field has made him a respected leader in the orthopaedic community both nationally and internationally.
