Orthopedic Advances: Bahawalpur Hosts 23rd Pelvic and Acetabular Surgery Workshop*

The 23rd Pelvic and Acetabular Surgery workshop was recently held at the Orthopedic ward of Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur. The event, under the direction of Professor Masood Umer, President-elect of the Pakistan Orthopaedic Association, and coordinated by Professor Naseer Chaudhry, HOD at BVH, showcased a significant gathering of over 60 young faculty members and senior residents from across various districts of Punjab and Sindh, including Karachi.

The two-day workshop featured several highlights, most notably a cadaveric dissection session and practical exercises using sawbone models, providing hands-on experience in current surgical techniques. Despite the challenging heat of South Punjab in June, the enthusiasm displayed by the participants was remarkable. Their engagement was palpable, with spirited discussions and thought-provoking questions spanning nearly 12 hours on the first day and 10 on the second.
